The CPS Submission System is now closed.
The 63rd ISI WSC 2021 will be held 11-16 July as a virtual conference. The WSC theme “Statistics and Data Science for a Better World” highlights the developments and contributions of statistics and data science in various domains of application that impact all aspects of life.
Talks and presentations on a wide variety of topics are invited. The overall goal is a balanced programme that provides a sense of the current state and future direction of statistics, data science and their applications. The programme will span sectors of practice including academia, business, industry, government and official statistics along with the breadth of ISI and Associations affiliated with ISI. Topics include, but are not limited to official statistics, survey statistics, environmental statistics, business and industrial applications of statistics, mathematical statistics, probability, statistics and data science education, statistical literacy and statistical computing and data visualization.
Contributed Papers/Posters can be submitted by any individual. Presentation will be done during a session or as a poster presentation (preference can be indicated in the submission system).
The contributed papers and posters will be combined with other submissions into a Contributed Paper Session or Poster Session with as much similarity in topic coverage as possible. For these sessions, a pre-recorded video of the talk is required 6 weeks in advance of the WSC. The decision regarding the presentation mode for each accepted abstract/paper will be taken by the Scientific Programme Committee (SPC) considering the author’s request, but also considering demand and capacity constraints.
Your submission should include a title and an abstract (with maximum 5 keywords) to be uploaded in one PDF file.
In order to be included in the WSC proceedings, a short paper (maximum of 4 pages) will need to be included in the abstract PDF. The paper must not have been published in any other conference proceedings or publication before the 63rd WSC. The copyright for the abstracts and papers in the proceedings resides jointly with the authors and the ISI. Authors are free to publish expanded versions of the material elsewhere. Only the title and abstract are needed if you do not wish to be included in the WSC proceedings.
Once accepted, a contributed paper will be listed in the programme and presented as a:
(a) Contributed Paper (Oral Presentation): A traditional paper format where the presenter will discuss a series of slides in a pre-recorded video. Duration: maximum 7 minutes. Or a:
(b) Poster Presentation (E-Poster): A single image with an optional 3-5 minutes pre-recorded commentary that delegates could listen to.
Please refer to the Guidelines for Contributed Papers/Posters for more details.
Please note that additional information on the format of the video recording will be made available once the contributed programme is finalised.
If you are included in the contributed paper/poster programme, you must register and pay for the Virtual WSC by 15 May 2021. Only the papers with at least one registered speaker/presenter will be included in the scientific programme. Important dates for the WSC are also available online. Any funding opportunities for delegates to apply to cover the registration fee will be announced on the registration page.
